    I always get the Burger Fuel one, just got it in September and they only ever ask to see my ID and don't check that you have the app, etc.

      I usually visit 3 branches for 3 burgers :D haha. If it's by app now I guess those days are gone. Will give it a shot in a few months though haha.

        100% copied from Cheapies for sure. Same thing happened to the New World hot chicken guarantee which later appeared on Stuff. Also lifting stories from Reddit and social media. Just lazy journalism, plus they want us to pay a subscription fee Hah.

    Seems some points are out of date. Mexicali Fresh for example on their website lists only a free taco with a spend of $10 on your birthday. Their loyalty program is the Cabana Club I believe https://www.mexicalifresh.co.nz/cabana-club-faq

    Last bday my partner only got free fries from burger fuel, but I got a burger.

      It's out of date because the news site plagiarized our Birthday Deals wiki which itself is also out of date since there isn't really anyone double checking or maintaining it.

      That's why the Mexicali error exists on both the Wiki and news page and incorrectly says "Free burrito or other menu item on your birthday"

      Update: I've fixed our wiki entry for Mexicali Fresh.

      I also got rid of the list in the deal description and replaced it with the link to our own Wiki. Which you guys can edit yourself, if you spot anything that is not correct and needs an update. Or let me know and I can do it too.

    Farmers: I got a pen one year and a reusable cotton bag another year, but haven't seen anything in probably 5 years now even though I still order at least once a year.

    Kathmandu: definitely out of date — $10-$50 voucher depending on your membership level.

    Noel Leeming: is the offer still current? I didn't get anything in 2023 but did get something in 2022.

    Burger Wisconsin has also changed its program, so have stopped the reward dollars and birthday burger just before my birthday last year around July.

    Don’t see it listed so thought I would share, I got my Birthday burger last month and my partner got his last week. Ordered through the app, was glad they didn’t ask for ID cause I accidentally put in the wrong day. The chicken burger is good!
