love these, has anyone tried the juicy brand ones they are on sale too 1Kg for $10

    • Keen to know, I was looking at that one yesterday, turn out to be same price as these Auntie Dai when on sales

      • I personally think Juicy tastes better.

    • Pork & Coriander fom Auntie Dai's is superior to Juicy Pork & Coriander IMO. I did note there is more pork in the Juicy ones but they seemed less juicy - probably lower fat pork and not salty enough for my liking.

    • Love the pork and prawn ones, lasts barely 5 minutes in our house. Has anyone tried the chicken one?

Juicy ones are better boiled. Auntie Dai ones tastes better pan fried.

How is that? Thicker dumpling wrap on Juicy one?

      • Yes Juicy is thicker. But overall prefer Juicy after trying them.

  • I cant find the catalogue in salefinder - anyone got the link?

    • Goes up 4pm on both Salefinder and Countdown. The images are uploaded to Salefinder around 2pm? but you have to figure out the URL for em as OP has done.

We quite like leannes kitchen dumplings from pak n save. Has anybody tried those in comparison to the others discussed here?

    • +3

Leanne's Kitchen is the worst unfortunately. It's not horrible but compared to the three major brands I place them at the bottom.

Each to their own, if you enjoy them then stick with them, but personally I find Auntie Dai's to be far more flavoursome, and this is on top of them being larger. Out of the dumplings I've tried, Leanne's have been by far the worst

      • Good to know! We're dumpling novices! Will have to hunt out some of these others.

I always forget what brand I use, but there was one that had more chive than meat. What is the meat percentage like in Auntie Dai's and is the Siu Mai decent?

    • +1

I have bought Siu Mai before don't remember is it Auntie Dai's but it's yucky.

      For pork and chives:

Pork (29%), Cabbage, Water, Garlic Chives (8%)

The siu mai doesn't taste like traditional siu mai. If you're after the authentic taste - this isn't it. A bit too much onion. Not that it was awful, but not great either.
