$1 Spicy Fried Chicken (Limit 5 Per Person/ Visit) @ Chicking Henderson, Auckland

130

A new Chicking store has opened up in Henderson (262 Lincoln Road) and as part of the opening promotions they're selling their spicy fried chicken for $1 per piece. It says they require a like or follow on FB/Instagram but they didn't ask to see this when I claimed the deal.

These seem to be roughly equivalent to KFC's Hot'n'Spicy pieces meaning you can almost get a Gimme 5 for $5 (Minus Fries). IMO it's about 80% there on the flavour scale to Hot'n'Spicy but a deal is a deal and (now more than) half price is hard to argue with 😅

Heads up, Went in this afternoon at around 12.20 and it was a half-hour wait for the special. Other items seemed to be out the door quite quickly.

    • It took an hour at my local during that $3 promo but I could place an order then pickup in an hours time.

This reminds me of the Doordash Think it was like $2 for 6 piece combo. Took me back to the KFC days when I was a student and was all I ate haha

  • Please somebody open a Chicking in South Island/ Christchurch please

  • Why didn't I look at Cheapies this morning?!? I live out South, but headed to Henderson this morning. Not likely to be back for a long while. Gutted to have missed this one!

  • Is the deal just advertised in store? I assumed from the Facebook like thing meant it was on Facebook and Instagram but doesn't seem to be on either one. Instead a deal for a burger with chicken strips, fries and a drink for $9.90 which I guess is still valid since they sort of posted it today.

Edit: Just realised the main link is to Facebook but it doesn't work anymore. Does this mean the deal was too good and they killed it early? Anyone manage to get it today?

I did manage to get it today. Also the $9.90 burger deal advertised on Facebook is probably unlimited as person in front of me seemed to get 8 of them or something, along with 2 of the $5 deals in separate orders. (There was someone else with them but this person seemed to be making their own order.) But if they were ordering so many of the burgers, I can understand why the checkout operator allowed it.

  • I'm gonna miss this deal, better than hot n spicy PLU12
