same here with the last 4 times, AA had a promo, nzherald had one, after getting this trial 3 in the past im now blacklisted.
"Premium"…
Or install magnolia1234's paywall bypass extension and get herald premium free every day…
thanks, iamdev stopped working for me.
Or copy the article link you want to read and head over to archive.ph good for mobile users
Yes, a great extension. Works well on Android also with Kiwi Browser
Alternatively, head to https://www.rnz.co.nz/, https://thespinoff.co.nz/ for good journalism;
https://www.interest.co.nz/ for economic news.
And even https://www.stuff.co.nz/ is much less agenda driven than nzherald.
You accidentally listed the spinoff there..
and also stuff.
stuff has changed the theme to follow social media and is somewhat illegible now, the last few weeks the site was just stuck in this endless loop.
google news is a good option. https://news.google.comDon't forget "Top 10 Ice creams in Napier" and "What small NZ town has the best pies" that all the news sites were doing for a month over summer for some reason
Its good for seizures and slowing my browser down like im on dial up, constantly looping the stuff logo back and forth like I don't what website im on or something
Not even worth it. In fact they couldn't pay me to visit their horrific train wreck of a site.
NZ Herald = 1/3 women's weekly, 1/3 copy and paste from other websites, 1/3 local news.
I could live with all that but the fact that they fall categorically withing the definition of the mainstream media makes me stay well clear.
They still refuse to acknowledge the tooth lady left the building and the country she so thoroughly stuffed up.Yup alot of reddit threads end up making it to our "news"
If your local library offers Pressreader (e.g. Chch libraries), a lot of NZ newspapers and magazines can be accessed for free with your library account.
Libby (aka Overdrive) also does magazines, not sure about newspapers.
Is there a way you can get access to herald premium through this though, or a way to view the paper at least not in its print format?
Sorry I don't know what Herald premium is. Pressreader on my phone can reflow the text of an article so you can read it more easily.
The subscription (for which this thread is discussing)
At least it means I can get newspaper to start the fire with in winter!
For some reason everytime this promotion runs, I never end up getting the 4 weeks of papers
