MX500 or Samsung Evo are overall good and reasonably priced when on sale.

  Both of these are decent drives I've used in machines. I wouldn't suggest saving a few bucks and taking the box, my one of those was awful and killed my computer's performance when it was a boot drive.

1tb ssds have mostly slipped back over the $100 price point with the nand price raises though.
