Free season pass for kids this year! Of course, you won't be sending your kids by themselves, so they've probably bumped up the adult pass prices?

Anyway worth the sign up even if you are THINKING of going. $5 snow card is added to the deal before check-out, but you can remove it if you want.
From memory you need the card to access the gates at the lifts.

• Valid any day during the 2024 season
• Access to Whakapapa, valid any day of the 2024 winter season.
• Non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstance.

  Is it valid any day of the winter season or only until 15 May 2024? Or can you only buy it until 15 May 2024? The wording is a bit confusing.

  If I buy a $0 pass for my kid and they get a buddy pass - can I use that buddy pass to get 50% off a tickets/rentals?

    If you read the Terms and Conditions it states that the free Child passes don't get the buddy passes:

    Adult, Youth & Senior Season Passes each receive Buddy Passes which entitle a ‘buddy’ to ski for 50% off a full-priced Anytime, Weekday or Lower Mountain Day Pass.
    • Infant and Child Season Passes do not receive Buddy passes.
    • Buddy Passes are valid for the same Pass type as purchased or lesser value. i.e a Youth Season Pass can redeem 4 x 50% off Youth Anytime, Weekday or Lower Mountain Passes, an Adult Season Pass can redeem 4 x 50% off Adult or Youth Anytime, Weekday or Lower Mountain Lift Passes.

    Not really that crazy - life passes were unsecured creditors. I cautioned some friends from buying them for this reason. You're essentially trusting a limited liability entity to fulfil a promise in the future. That's why I refuse to buy gift cards/vouchers.

      Unsecured creditors still have a claim (albeit at the bottom of the hierarchy) that sits with the liquidators.
      Usually when a company goes though receivership, liquidators sell the assets to cover some of the debt obligations.

      In this case however DOC didn't cancel the concession, so the receivers can continue operating with all the assets rather than meet the liabilities.

      It's definitely an unusual case.

  Any indication of Day Pass prices? Thinking about a trip down for a long weekend and wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a season pass and get the free child pass for me and the kiddo, rather than three day passes for us both…
