Like the title says, currently EB Games are offering the same amount of cash when you trade in a console as they do store credit. My email said it was for EB World members only, not sure if you can sign up with EB World today and still take advantage of the deal or not. Ends April 25th
They're offering (for consoles complete with leads and controllers etc)
$500 PS5 Disc console
$400 PS5 Digital
$220 PS4 Pro
$200 PS4 Slim
$480 Xbox Series X
$260 Xbox Series S
$160 Xbox One S
$180 Xbox One X
$160 Switch Lite
$250 OG Switch
$320 Switch OLED
Now, the PS5, Xbox Series and Switch OLED consoles aren't worth trading in, much better off selling them privately on Facebook or Trade Me, but the last gen consoles, $200 for a PS4 Slim 500gb and $160 for an Xbox One S is a great deal as you can pick those consoles up 2nd hand for quite cheap.
To give you an idea how easy this money is, I bought a One S last night for $99 off Trade Me which I picked up this morning, along the way I stopped at Cash Convertors and picked up a PS4 Slim for $149, then went straight to EB and traded in both no problems, they didn't have enough cash so they refunded the $360 back onto my Visa debit card. An easy $110 profit for hardly any effort at all.
Hi Flippant,
Did you get an email about the cash offer (rather than in-store credit)?
The last email I got from EB was yesterday, but I can't see anything in there on the subject - it's pretty much only talking about Mother's Day.
Alan.
