With only 2000 lumens. I think it will struggle with daytime watching.

If you put some more money you can get proper 65+ inch 4K TV?

You can get a 65 for cheaper than that! But they're a little bit shit (to use kind words)

Projectors are only good if you have a dedicated projector room with enough distance between the projector and the wall/screen that it's projecting onto. And it has to be the right condition as well, like lighting, no obstructions, etc. Too much hassle. Rather get a big screen 4K TV instead.

    • You don't have to have a dedicated room but rectangular preferable and one that has no windows behind your screen. you can have your projector screen come down over your 65 inch 4K TV and have a 120 inch for the cinema experience. You don't need a lot of room between the project in the screen only about 5 m that's the distance my projector is and yes you are right there's a lot of work setting it up.

If you can control the environment likes of 100” is entirely doable. You don’t have sound though so don’t forget that, also need to cable video signal out to where projector is mounted, and the projector needs power.

Same price if you buy it directly from BenQ

  • Still using my 4K BenQ TK850 with 3000 lumens, which i paid around $3K for on sale.

Its a noisy hummer though so not sure whether the w1700M would be similar.
