As soon as you activate it, you will get 1 GB of data for the following month. If you activate it on August 15, 2023, your data will be available until August 15, 2024.

    • +1

The data is valid for a year (not a month like their wording states).
I have used a couple of Mb of data as a test and it shows it’s valid until May 2025.

      • The wording states: Valid until withdrawn for new customers of Red Bull Mobile. Data available for one year after activation. Exclusive to Travel-Dealz.

      • Thankyou

  • Just activated it. Hopefully it works for my trip to AU end of the month.

    • https://www.cheapies.nz/node/46000 Could use this as backup.

      • Thanks. Got this one as backup now.

    • I have a trip to Oz at the end of the month too which I will use the data.
Make sure you turn data roaming on when ready to use.

  • I believe I have set up everything correctly as I got a text from Red Bull to say Welcome to Red Bull MOBILE - you can now start using your new data plan.
However I am not getting any mobile data on my phone, the 3G sign next to the network bars keeps flashing. Did anyone else face seminar problem. I have tried restarting my phone a few times but won’t fix it

    • After you receive the text you need to make sure mobile data is turned on for Red Bull Mobile and you also have roaming enabled.
      Have you done that?

      • Yes. I have done that too

        • I'm not sure what else to try sorry.
I am on iOS and after I got the text I made sure to turn mobile data on for the eSim and enabled roaming. It then worked straight away.

  • I can't add the promo, it says something went wrong, please try again later.

    • Have you signed up before?
Only applies to first time users.

    • I had the same issue but after I closed the app and waited a couple of min it worked

  • +1

Managed to get 1.1GB. 100MB for signing up and 1GB for the TRAVELDEALZ promo.

  • Can confirm this is still working

  • Thanks OP, installed successfully, travelling to oz end of next month, in order to use it their, all i need to do is switch on mobile data for my travel esim in settings??

    • That and also need to switch on data roaming with the eSim.
You should get 1.1Gb to use - 100Mb for the new user sign up and then another 1Gb from this deal.

      • Yes got that and also registered with eskimo, so got 2.1gb sorted for my 9days oz holiday. I have instalked both esims but turned off both lines for now.

        • +1

          I'm the same.
I will be in Oz at the end of this month too so will test it out then.

  • I used it at the end of last year in Thailand. There was a bit of dicking around getting it up and going (and you incur roaming charges if not configured correctly) but when set up properly it was successful and worked great. I also found another code online and got more data

    • Do you still have the other code ?

    • Yes please if you can share the other code

  • Thanks, managed to get it setup for a trip I have coming up.

The ongoing data charges are quite high compared to other products which is a shame but itll be useful for me to have until I can pickup a local sim.

  • Will this work in Fiji?

    • It's not listed as a supported country so I wouldn't count on it.

    • you can buy a SIM card in Fiji for $FJD7 with 7GB data for 7 days (enough for a short holiday)

I just tested this first of the esim deals since I am going to Asia this month so thought would be useful but found the latency is pretty high. Not sure how the performance will be.

Seems like they are routing all the traffic via their Austrian Data Centers, so the round trip ping back to my home IP is ~700 ms. With my Spark 4G it is around 35 ms.

So basically looks like wherever you are connecting from in the world, it would route your data to Austria first and then back, so closer you are physically to Europe - the better you are performance wise. Also not sure what are the privacy implications since they are routing all your DNS/traffic over to a single hop first. Makes me nervous of these free data deals. :)

  • Bit OT, but can anyone recommend a good VOIP provider for AU mobile number? Want AU mobile no., while in NZ. My model does not have eSIM :(

  • Will give this a go. Doing a big UK/Europe trip next year and looking into esim options. Will probably need more than 1GB but should be good for a backup.
