Cheapest Place to Buy Mixed Nuts and Dried Fruits?

Hey all,

Kind of a niche area so asking here.

Recently been really in to dried nuts and dried fruits.
I find them quite expensive so wondering where you cheapies buy them if there are any special places out there other than just random sales (which don't even feel like) at PakNSave or Costco.

Cheers

  • Would like to know too. Aside from the bulk bins, my local PNS seems to only stock the branded nuts now, they've stopped stocking my personal favourite, the Value brand cranberry nut mix.

  • I keep an eye on the 500g Cranberry Nut Medley at Woolworths. When they come down to $7 a bag I buy up a number of them:

  • If you have membership, you can look into Costco or ask in their Facebook group

  • If you've got a Bin Inn or similar, its worth checking them out

  • Hi,

You'll definitely want to try visiting Fresh4Less market for the purpose mentioned above.

    https://fresh4less.co.nz/dry-fruits-and-nuts/

Plenty of stuff you're searching for and for quite reasonable prices (if they can be called reasonable at all for any good food here in NZ).
Anyway, still the way cheaper than almost at every other places selling dried fruit & nuts.

Would certainly recommend this Indian market. 👍🏻

    Cheers! 👋🏻

    • Pity they don't deliver as their prices look good.

      • I agree, that's a pity in deed.
(Though their website shows the following Info:
        "Fast Delivery.
Everyday low prices swiftly delivered to your doorstep."
Just at the bottom of the web page. Maybe out date info by them. 🤷🏻‍♂️)

But the prices are the best I ever seen here for the stuff. 👍🏻

  • Lots of Indian supermarkets in Auckland to look & compare prizes. Especially Lotus supermarket.

  • You want Bulk Food Savings in Dominion Road. Organic / non organic, great range and reasonably priced with off street parking.

I have tried everywhere in Auckland and they are the best.

I do get Cranberries and Walnuts and Almond flakes from Costco as they a little bit cheaper but have a limited range.

    Enjoy.

  • Indian stores in chch.

  • +1

Indian stores and Davis Petone in Wellington.
In addition to that also compare quality. Specific nuts are better quality at a specific store.
