Their business must be declining given the frequency in promotions like this. I was a regular at Sal's for over 10 years but the quality and taste have been consistently getting worse with each visit. The taste, quality and quantity of ingredient have become so inconsistent that I don't buy Sal's any more. As a customer who is willing to pay $50+ for a quality pizza, they have lost my business.
Yeah sadly the quality is just declining for years now and not to mention it is expensive pizza. Not a good deal at all in our current climate. I won't be surprised if they close down soon.
Yeah, it's really disappointing because Sals used to be pretty dam good in 2010s, and grabbing a slice used to be such a joy. Now, the first thing I feel when I open the box is disappointment. I also feel like their size shrinked significantly too, but there is no way to prove it. I was a regular at two different branches, and it's the same thing. They appear to have some issues with quality control, and I hope they realize how easily they could lose customers.
Being a business owner myself, I get the need for price increase, but if they are going to charge more, they shouldn't mess with the food.
I feel you. I use to love the buffalo pizza when it came out like 6-7 years ago. It use to cost $36 and was amazing. Now I only get it when it’s on sale for $40 (normal price $52) and I’m always annoyed at the amount of chicken on it - it’s like they took one small waitoa chicken tender from countdown and cut it into tiny chunks and each slice has 3 bits on it. It’s a bit rediculous when they charge I think $8 or $12 to even add chicken to a pizza….
Used to work there. Headquarters keep sabotaging the pizza recipe to maximize profit. You might not realize but dough content has been reduced by 1/4 from 10 years ago. Garlic knots and pepperoni wheels are smaller. Ingredients have been changed from high quality to average. It's still not shit tier ingredients like dominoes or pizza hut but people have realized. On top of that, their prices raised considerably.
You are completely right.
I have noticed that the dough is way slimmer compared from the first time I've had their pizzas in 2016. Such a shame.
Sal's pizza absolutely sucks . Worst quality ingredients and everything is steadily shrinking. We were so spoiled I chch for those years when Alligator pizza was open, you could taste the passion for perfrction, the owner Brendan is my pizza hero.
i miss alligator pizza 😭
Costco clears. A shame it’s not everywhere
Their cheese pizza is bomb!!
Absolutely. I get their ready to bake one and add toppings at home. Best quick dinner for all and it's great.
New Lynn store is not showing up for online order.. Is this happening with others too?
