Can anyone confirm if when signing up to a Free online study at openpolytechnic.ac.nz will result in getting an .ac.nz email addy ? And, subsequently can this addy be used to get the student discount at Samsung ?

Why people would abuse free education for a discount is beyond me! What happens when those who truly want to access these courses can't, because too many people sign up and don't complete the courses so the provider cancels them?

Ok crazy idea right but you sign up to a cheap uni any like the cheapest with .ac.nz right and since uni first yr is free you just pass the course idk if you have to and drop out in one sem or 1yr idk the requirements for first yr free. Also not legal or financial advice do it at ur own risk aye xD also it's pretty (profanity) up if you do this xd
No need to use up your first year free.
Many universities have a date you can withdrawal from courses by for free.
Apply for some course, get the ac.nz email address, and then drop any papers you are enrolled in before the deadline.

Because of how the question is posed, its hardly an unfounded assumption. If you wanted to do the course for the sake of doing the course, the Samsung discount would not even be a factor. Let alone you asking it on a cheapies forum…..
Actually I"m interested in Open Poly because it's Free. While some other providers also have similar courses they are not necessarily free. However I'm also interested in the nice bonus of the .ac.nz addy so I'm trying to figure out whether I should just go for the Open Poly one or not and thought someone might be able to answer this.Get it ?

Yep, you do. Sign up to Unidays with your ac.nz email address to access the Samsung student portal.
You might want to consider the fact that if you sign up for a class and don't do it you will fail. Which will then show up on your transcript and may cause issues when you actually do want to study.

If you pull out of the course before a certain date it doesn’t show on your transcript.
Why don't you just sign up and verify if it's free?
