Half Price on a Range of HiSmile Products @ Chemist Warehouse

60

Trending toothpaste flavors - available at half price.

Was at a school dental check and the oral health therapist asked if the kids use HiSmile? Apparently popular ++ these days with the younger ones. Picked up some yesterday and could "taste" the difference. :-)

Works out much cheaper than direct buy from the Australian website?

Just saying, having had read/watch of some Consumer NZ reports, hi-smile doesn't work as effectively as what you may be expecting. A large portion of the participants noticed no change, and about half (if I recall correctly) noticed some sensitivity when using.

    Not discouraging, just relaying info.

For the several people I know that use this, it's not about sensitivity, it's about having something besides mint-flavoured everything. Variety and options, especially for the less neurotypical among us…

      • Why do you have to be less neurotypical to not want to have something mint flavoured?

Sea of choices at the supermarket with all sorts of stupid claims on the box. All of them may as well taste like shit, none tell you the flavour on the box which IMO is the most important thing for something you have no choice but to taste when you use it.

        • You don't; that's why I said "especially," as in it's an extra thing, not "exclusively." Not sure where you got the idea it was a requirement.

Flavours are nice to try once but they make your teeth incredibly sensitive

I'm no expert, but that's a bad thing right?

    • Not noticed any difference from the normal kids bubblegum flavour that I buy. Nice to have more choices.

  • I saw Colgate has some new flavors available so possibly chemist warehouse being paid to not stock HiSmile anymore.

So building a taste for sweet stuff while you are brushing your teeth. Now that is completely rational.

Haven't tried these ones. But I highly recommend giving Marvis brand toothpastes a go if you like flavoured toothpastes. The flavours are definitely more adult like: Amarelli licorice, Aquatic Mint, Cinnamon Mint, Classic Strong Mint, Ginger Mint, Jasmin Mint, Whitening Mint.
You can get a flavour sampler 7 pack of small tubes for around $40, but it does go quite a long way. It's a bit bougie but if it keeps you brushing your teeth that's worth it. Plus I love how classy it looks.

  • Saw some at local TWarehouse on clearance too.
