  • One thing which might be helpful for people to know, if you look at the app during the sale (maybe also the website, not sure) there should be a link to the sale page. You will generally get a popup directing you there too. There should be coupons listed there which are equivalent to these coupons. During some special sales, you can choose to get these before the sale which adds them to your account. This may continue into the sale but these run out, so you want to get in as early as possible. They do come back but only a limited number of times.

But even if these are just listed as coupon codes, if you try to use the coupons on a valid order at the checkout page during the sale, often these will be added to your account. If you don't place your order, or even if you do place your order but tried the lower value coupons, these should now on your account. I've generally done this on the app so I'm not sure doing it on the website especially the desktop website works the same.

To confirm you got the coupons, go to your coupons page https://www.aliexpress.com/p/my-coupons/index.html or on the app and look for AliExpress coupons, these will probably be listed. Also if you try to checkout with a new order and one of the coupons you added will apply, it should automatically be added. They will also generally show up on items now if they apply.

AFAIK, once you've added the coupons to your account, they last until they expire likely at the end of the sale even if they runout because too many people use them. You can still only use them once, although sometimes AliExpress resets the coupons so you can have multiple uses and I've even ended up with the same coupon being on my account more than one time generally during the special sales. At least they've never ran out for me, so I've always expected this. And during the last sale I had further confirmation as I was always able to use the coupons including near the end of the sale where I did actually use one although AFAICT it had ran out. (Wasn't usable by another account in NZ.)

To be clear, this doesn't work for all coupons only special ones, mostly the ones they list on their sale page. For example, during the last sale, it worked with the 07GD50 etc coupons someone mentioned in the comments but not the ones listed in the deal https://www.cheapies.nz/node/47437 (The AE coupons also ran out and I wasn't able to use the.)

    • You're right about collecting the coupons. They'll show up on the sale page where you can "collect" them and they'll apply automatically at checkout. Saves you having to type them out each time.

I'm not sure yet if you'll see different codes to these global ones.

      • Can confirm the 08 codes can be added to your account but not the AE ones

  • Any update on potential NZD codes? Would be great if we could get the $75 off $550 spend that you got for AUD :)

    • Nothing from my AliExpress contact yet sorry. It might not be until the next sale.

  • All noted Clear thanks. However just so NZ Cheapies are aware: I've just put in an order, in AliExpress account NZD currency option, ($125 NZD or so, including NZ GST for shipped to NZ addresses. Using the "USD $8" off promo code, and an NZD one off use type credit card. AliExpress emails back appears to being say that was all accepted ok by then, in NZD at the order total NZD sum. I'm presuming thou they auto incorporated their AliExpress USD - NZD exchange rate of about 0.575c.

    • (PS: The code that worked in the end was that " AECD8 one. Thou I had to muck around as usual with AliExpress, using my oldish android smart phone. :) ).

  • none of the codes work on laptop do they only work in app

    • That would often be expected that retailers will force buyers to use their android or apple app only, to use the discount codes. Interested to see what other Cheapies experience is with AliExpress.
