I work in Auckland Central and just topped up my Sharetank at 245.9c/l. Gaspy is suggesting it's coming from Z Te Irirangi Drive - probably in competition with Gull and NPD's 14/15c off deals today. Hopefully it lasts as I couldn't find a cheaper Z around the motu.
[Sharetank] Unleaded 91 $2.459 @ Z Te Irirangi Dr (Auckland)

Gaspy suggests that the cheapest is Z Botany Downs @ $2.449, which is located on 550, Te Irirangi Drive. Whereas Z Te Irirangi Drive is $2.459 and is located on 136, Dawson Road.
Looks like they are both in very close vicinity of each other.
Z Sharetank not picking up Botany as lowest price.
Just did a check, it seems Z Te Irirangi Drive located on 136 Dawson Road is actually in Otara. No wonder it's so cheap lol. No way I'm stepping anywhere near Otara.
Otara will come to you
You think you'll get stabbed and robbed the second you step into Z otara? 😂
Oh no, looks like I triggered some sensitive snowflakes lol. Downvotes are always funny to me, because it tells a lot about how petty a person is.
Pretty sure the majority of ppl wouldn't want to go to or live in dodgy neighbourhoods. It is what it is.
Gaspy shows $2.389 at Botany Downs and Ti Rakau Dr for me, but only getting $2.459 on Sharetank :(
I am guessing the 2.389 includes the 6 cent pump discount, which can't be used on Sharetank.
Would be good if people could post the actual pump price rather than the discounted price. Gaspy has a feature to show the discounted price for people that want it.
I think you have choose to show discounted prices on your Gaspy thus you getting 2.389 lol. It's 2.449 for mine in Gaspy
They do, as per the rules when you submit a price, it says "Enter the Pump price only, do not include discounts". If your text is in red, then you have the discount applied and showing, the actual price will be right above the discounted price staring with the star
Whats the risk of government reducing tax on petrol and introducing road tax on all vehicles within the next year or two?
There is already a “road tax”. The chance of a change from the current status quo in the next couple years is essentially 0. It will be political suicide if they add more tax on top of what’s currently charged.
They have officially talked about all vehicles changing to RUC ?removing petrol tax. The initial thoughts were that this was at least 2 years away and in fact they announced petrol tax increases from 2027 from memory. Given that EVs and hybrids are now charged RUC and that system is established my question was would the change from petrol tax to RUC happen quicker than first thought. Presumably if you have prepurchased fuel you wouldn't be able to get a refund of fuel tax paid at purchase but going forward could be liable for RUC.
On a separate note they have talked about congestion charges which is considered to be for a different reason and supposedly had some amount of support.Seems you ve heard some news and completely muddled up the facts……..
Hybrid and pure petrol cars gets RUC charged via pertol cost. EV’s were previously exempt from RUC since they don’t get petrol and will now be charged RUC directly.
The government have laid out a road map for increased petrol tax in 2027.
So changes in the next couple of years would be going back on their promise thus political suicide.
What’s the point of decreasing tax on petrol (Auckland) on one hand and increasing tax via RUC on the other. It’s completely non sensical.
So my point stands, in the next couple years there shouldn’t be any changes. Then In 2027 you start to see increase in petrol tax as already advertised.@SmartEntity: Not muddled anything

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/132900566/all-vehi…The question is what is the likelihood that the change which was in their policy statement will be brought forward. Given pure EVs AND PHEVs are now paying RUCs there is a mechanism in place and it would seem that it would be relatively straightforward to make the above changes earlier. The current risk is monitoring and compliance - petrol tax is paid reliably whereas failure to pay RUCs requires enforcement.
@drajk: Very good points. Paying now vs pay later.
Good price
