iirc it's usb-c powered so you might need an adaptor if the one in box does not offer switching for nz standards.
As far as entry level laptops in NZ go for similar prices($800) it's above average in spec, similar skus are $1000-1100 without backlit kb ec. OS on these seem to always be dodgy and require fresh install as windows not legit and sometimes locked down(academic versions).
