Waterpik Ultra and Cordless Plus Waterflosser Pack $124.99 @ Costco (Membership Required)

70

The Waterpik Ultra & Cordless Plus waterflosser pack at Costco has a $50 off deal right now. The Ultra alone retails for $170 or more in NZ, so to get a cordless one as a bonus for much less seems like a no-brainer, never mind the 10 accessory tips!

Description from Costco Australia's website (note that this is the link I've used as Costco NZ has no store page as yet. The price on the link is for Australia only, we get it for $124.99 INSTORE ONLY) that I've copied as there's no package like this in NZ otherwise.

Waterpik Ultra And Cordless Plus Waterflosser Pack
The Ultra Plus model provides advanced pressure control system with 10 pressure settings that range from 10 to 100 psi and has a unique tip storage compartment with a water capacity of 90+ seconds. The Cordless Plus model provides the convenience of a rechargeable flossing unit which removes 99.99% of plaque on treated areas from deep between teeth and below the gum line, where brushing and traditional flossing can't reach. Making it great for people with braces implants, crowns, bridges, and veneers.

This product features:

Ultra water flosser includes 10 pressure settings
Unique tip storage compartment
Cordless Ultra Plus includes rechargeable USB cable
Ergonomic non slip handle
10 accessory tips included for all dental needs
Can be used with your favourite mouthwash
Compact design
Includes 2 complete water flossers for versatility
Keep in separate bathrooms or have one for home and one for travel
Two year warranty

Likewise I've chosen the Aussie end time for the deal, I think it started roughly the same time here as I saw the pack at full price on the 4th, and now family spotted it at this price (only photo they took for me showing price, sorry guys).

Any flossing is better than no flossing, but unless you have a medical reason to use a water flosser (or braces or something), I'd say just use regular floss. However, if using a water flosser can get you to actually floss regularly that's still a huge win.

    • Why not both? You blast away with the flosser first, then go through manually to get the rest

      • Both is definitely the way to go if you can commit yourself to it, 'cause the water flosser is good for getting along the gumline.

      • +1. I found that using waterflosser first gets rid of most of the gunk, then I use an interdental brush and then finally floss and then brush with toothpaste. The whole routine takes about 10 mins, but it's worth it unless you like going to dentists.

As a side note, I wouldn't recommend getting a cordless one. The battery life on those suck and they lose charge after 1 year. I had 2 cordless ones and had to replace the battery under warranty, and there were some other issues. Ended up switching permanently to a corded one. I think cordless is only suitable for travel, but there are much more compact ones out there that are better suited for this purpose.

A tip if you want to get into Costco but don't want to get a membership.
Get someone to buy you a gift card i think the min is $10

    • Do you just show the gift card for entry? Can you keep using it to enter?

      • Yeah but you need to use a gift card everytime you make a purchase as they key the gift card in as the member.

Foodcourt does not require membership or gift card
It's worth mentioning Costco membership is Global even though I live outside of Auckland it is very helpful overseas getting the local items at quite a discount. Sadly cant bring a 90" tv back on the plane :(

        • That's exactly what I was looking at, wondering if I could bring an 85" tv as over size baggage but don't think that is possible.

        • The food court technically does require a card, because they aren't meant to permit entry via the exit.

  • This pack, along with the Sonicare brushes, are a regular fixture, they dip in and out of sale every couple of months, so if you can't get it now, you could always wait for it to roll around again.
