Laresar Free Trial Offer a Scam or Genuine?

Hi everyone,

I recently received an email offering me a free trial for a new product launch, and I'm looking for some advice on whether this is legitimate or a scam.

The email states that because I previously bought a handheld vacuum from them via Amazon AU, they are inviting me to participate in a free trial. The contact email is [email protected]. They have offered me a free trial of their new Elite 9 vacuum, but here's the catch: I need to purchase the vacuum first, write a positive review, and then they will refund the purchase to my PayPal account.

They want me to buy the vacuum from another seller (heilongjiangkanhanshangmaoyouxiangongsiaoz) on Amazon AU (previous purchased was LIB TOP). Additionally, the new Elite vacuum is listed under the brand Fieety on Amazon AU, not Laresar, which adds to my confusion.

Has anyone else received a similar offer or participated in such a trial? I understand they tried to get reviews for their new listing, but is this a common practice, or does it sound like a scam? If I'm to pay with PayPal, will I be protected and able to get my money back if it turns out to be fraudulent? Can I also use "Change of mind" and returns the vacuum to get my money back?

Any insights or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

It was all sounding moderately plausible until this part. 100% scam imho. I've participated in product reviews before in Australia and they never asked for me to buy the product first, and certainly not from some incredibly dodgy-sounding random Amazon seller.

Stay well clear, don't send anyone any money.

    • Yeah and I guess PayPal cannot guarantee I will get my money back if the product is actually sent and I receive it?

      • You can't pay on Amazon using PayPal either.

  • Sounds like a Chinese scam. Look at the admin details of the domain - https://digger.tools/lookup/laresar.us/whois

Also, if something is too good to be true, it probably isn't. Or, no there's no such thing as a free lunch.

    • I visited their website and noticed they offer a Trial on their webpage. They also offered me a $30 Amazon gift card just for leaving a video and picture review from my last purchase, but the contact email also a bit different - [email protected]

  • I have a nice bridge for sale if you are interested?

  • Def seems like a scam. I would ignore.
