I'm needing half a dozen of Cat 6 Ethernet cable. Cheapest place to buy suggestions please.
Ethernet cable CAT6 cheap

Businesses often throw out boxes of old cables because it's not worth their time checking which ones are working and which are not. I'd ask at computer recycling places. If they don't deal with network cables, they will know who to talk to.
Another option is to post on Geekzone - that might net you a generous donor. There are a ton of network cables out there lying in boxes, cupboards and drawers in offices and homes all over the country.
Options mentioned above are good. I have bought couple of them from Aliexpress. Yes they could be dodgy so buy from reputed sellers and they should be good.
Just some advice. See if you could go for Cat 8 instead. Made a massive difference to my network speeds.
PBTECH - Use code AKLCOUNCIL under membership. Pretty cheap but not as cheap as AliexpressI work for PB and Cat8 is snakeoil right now.
Cat6A is sufficient up to 10GbE which most people are not using.
Beware of going cheap, as they will be copper clad aluminium and not solid copper. Where the plugs crimp on will expose the aluminuim and then it starts to have reactions with air and give bad connections.
The dynamix at PB tech are good quality and cheap. No point going over cat6 for domestic stuff as that is fine for 10 gig speeds where there is no crosstalk concerns for more than you need in a house. cat 7 and 8 are for non ethernet use like HDMI over cat cable things where you are pushing more than 10 gig speeds over it and need the higher frequency.
Cat8 shouldn't make any difference whatsoever, especially for a patch lead, I'd expect 10gbit on cat5e as a patch lead for any reasonable length. Cat6 is most likely going to be the cheapest for a patch lead as it is the volume at the moment. Looks like a 1m cat6 patch lead is like $3.50 from PBTech.
There is also the membership code for education: UCEDU123
Does these membership codes affect price depending on membership?
There are different membership tiers with different pricing.
I've seen people sell some on fb marketplace by the meter i'm pretty sure
