Charged for Amazon Prime After Cancelling 2degrees Internet – Anyone Else?

Hi everyone,

I recently cancelled my 2degrees internet, which included an Amazon Prime subscription that I never used. Despite cancelling the internet, I’ve been charged twice for Amazon Prime at $10.99 each which used to be included with the broadband. When I try to cancel through the Amazon website, it says I need to make changes through 2degrees.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? How did you manage to stop the charges and get a refund? Any advice on dealing with this would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

  • Currently on 2degrees and they did the same, was charged for a month. Didn't request refund but it's dirty of them to not inform you of this, would expect it to be cancelled with the contract. Planning to leave them end of this year and look for combined power and net deals.

I cancelled Prime and then cancelled broadband the day after. Didn't have any problems.

  • Wow, that is genuinely scummy behaviour

  • Not quite the same situation but my wife got this deal and while we want to keep the broadband we want to cancel the Prime subscription now the 6 months is up. Amazon says talk to 2D, 2D says talk to Amazon. Still not resolved

It’s been a few years since I had 2D snd this offer but from memory you logged in to your dashboard for 2D broadband and there was an option to cancel Amazon there.

      • Just checked, you're correct.

      • Yep, got my wife to log in for me. I cancelled it within 10 seconds. I think she must be clinically blind

  • They will refund you if you haven't actually used it.
