I have been looking at buying a Ps5 slim, probably the digital version. Just missed out on the latest price of $698 at JB Hifi last week.
Are there any other good deals around at that price? There's also rumours of a Ps5 pro coming around the corner, so I'm wondering if it's better to wait for that announcement.
Although the Ps5 has just increased in price in Japan..
In japan only likely due to Japanese Yen lost a lot of its value since early 2021, price will unlikely to increase in other countries.

So the disc price was 700 and then you got a 50$ gift card? Is that correct? If so that is insane!
Yeah. it was before the new model came out. I ended up selling it for $600 in marketplace down the road

PS5 pro has just been announced for 7 Nov release but seems quite expensive. Not sure how this will impact the price of the regular PS5

It will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller and a copy of Astro’s Playroom pre-installed in every PS5 Pro purchase. PS5 Pro is available as a disc-less console, with the option to purchase the currently available Disc Drive for PS5 separately.
Sheesh that's expensive. I'm thinking that 800NZD for the ps5 slim isn't too bad at jb hifi. I might grab it on Saturday so that if there's a bigger discount come the 26th of September when preorders begin I can get a refund of the difference
Just last month Sony increased the PS5 price in Japan again by around $145nzd, so if you're wanting to buy new I'd be pulling the trigger and buying one soon before they decide to increase the price in other regions as well. Analysts are predicting that the PS Pro could be as much as $650usd in the US, which if correct would make it around $1200 here.
