An alternative if there's nothing near you or you want to just DIY at home.

This dough recipe landed on my YT feed yesterday, tried it last night and it's amazing. Been using a similar recipe but this one tops it. Also, I didn't have the fancy pizza steel or a cast iron pan. Just a plain ol' baking tray. Split the recipe into 2 pizzas (each size of a large pizza) instead of 4. Cooked both in preheated 220C fan oven for 15 mins. Boom!

this would be so cool activity with kids, not having to clean up the mess is worth $10

  • None for Welly?

They don't give that much training to employees

  • Wow this is so cool, booked a session in Christchurch for the kids. Over the school holidays too 😁

  • Jesus. I'm a technology teacher and I can not see this going well unless the numbers are tiny even with something that'll be pretty basic.

I mean I can cook with 30 kids. But I somewhat doubt your local Dominoes (which is also tiny) has the practice, or motivation.

    • Making a pizza in one of these stores is very easy and fast, there's a lot less to it than you'd think. With all ingredients and dough prepared, it's chucking some ingredients on and putting in the oven. Far easier than anything in a proper cooking class.

I'd be more concerned about how they are managing hygeine with them. Though from what I've seen in these stores, 12 y.o. may be an improvement.

  • Looks like the sessions went fast, can't find any availability at the Halswell/Christchurch store.

Did our session today - highly recommend. Had the store manager run it with an employee, was good fun and learnt alot. Unreal value for $10 a head! Thanks OP.
