Auckland to Bangkok, Thailand from $756 Return [Oct to Dec] (Combining Airlines) @ Beat That Flight

110

We had great prices on Hainan Airlines to Thailand - but what if I told you by combining sometimes up to 3 different airlines, you could do it for even less!

This is for the person who likes to live on the edge, try lots of airlines and visit airports. If you want more straightforward, try the Hainan link. But this IS cheaper…

Airlines include, but not necessarily limited to a combination of some of : China Eastern, Shanghai Airlines, Thai Air Asia…but the layovers aren't necessarily awful.

Summary:
Auckland to Bangkok (4 Oct - 25 Dec) from $756 return

      beatthatflight.com.au is a good start…

  • Is there a way to show a matrix of flight costs across multiple days combos?

If you go far enough into the future there are insane prices Jetstar to Ho Chi Minh one way, but no cheap return prices so probably a different airline returning.

Not easily across large date spans. You could look at just two one ways to find the cheapest flight coming back, then compare a return ticket for the same dates (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIvzqllWYQU)

      • Was meaning likes of that month matrix view on the beat that flight website. Lately that hasn’t been populating like I recall it once did. Is currently mostly showing a looking glass image on the middle square and no indicative pricing for other date combos.

Ah, it depends a bit on the route, date, and other people. I can only cache values for the last day or so, otherwise lots of the numbers would be out of date. So instead I have to only cache recent searches. Means unfortunately that some of the indicative pricing ages out sooner than I'd like, but it's a tradeoff of accuracy vs comparison :/
