  Was looking at this the other day. Silly that they don't show you their rates on the website. Mercury is $300 credit. Don't know about other companies.

    You can ask them via Chat. They will try to insist that they will call you but just tell them you just want to know the rate in chat before looking into it further.

  It seems ridiculous they don't have the rates displayed online. How do existing and new customers know they are getting charged the same? Other power companies I have looked at allow you to enter your address, and it will display the rates.

  As a Black Box Power customer, you will get complimentary Black Box Silver Membership. This means guaranteed Black Boxes every year you remain a customer with us."

  But I have no idea what a black box is - is it some kind of power discount? Couldn't seem to find anything about this on the website.

    It's a weird marketing company thing where they send you a box of stuff to "sample" and take photos and write reviews for etc.

    Been going for a few years now, I've received 3-4 boxes in about 8 years and have literally done no reviews or anything.

    The last one was a couple of months ago and included things like a pouch of microwave rice, a carton of beef stock, some Maxigesic lemsip ripoffs (these were actually disgusting lol), etc etc.

  Can only speak for myself but based on my last bill of 1234 kWh, I would pay 76.83 more than my current provider. For me it definitely doesn't make financial sense to move.
