      We have the boom 3.

      They are quire different products.

The Bose has clearly better sound quality (listened to a demo one in a shop - Might have been the prior generation).

Boom 3 cranks fairly loud, but the sound quality is pritty shit.

Boom 3 is it IP67 (submersible, Short duration, with a depth limit), vs the Bose which is IP54 (splashproof).

      • Yeah you have to understand the use case. The Boom 3 is an outdoor speaker rather than for listening in your lounge. It will do a decent enough job for a picnic on the beach or something like that.

        • They are both marketed at portable outdoor use.

But the Bose is can only withstand splashing. If the application might see more water than that (jets of water, submersion etc), then the UE Boom 3 is a better pick.

For a Beach picnic the Bose is fine, but if you want something to strap to your kayak etc, the UE Boom 3 would be a better pick.
