I am soooooo tempted to jump from my $25 matariki plan to this! Double the data!

    Wonder what the downside is?

  • And includes AU calls and txts. The Large plan didnt have that right? May get the wife to jump on this one…

    • I believe that plan also included calls from NZ to Australia but not calls from Australia to Australia and Australia to New Zealand.

        Correct

Would this be the same plan that usually comes on Black Friday half price deals?

    • No.
The Black Friday deals are usually on the 365 day plans, not the monthly.

  • This isn't as good as their birthday offer which was $294 pa which works out as $24.50 pm. Good if you want to pay monthly I guess.

    • Kinda like a payment plan instead of a one off $300 payment. Not too bad

        22% APR isn't great

        • Apr?

          • @L3tstaxth1s: Stands for Annual Percentage Rate.
Refers to the % interest paid in a year on a balance (often used for credit cards).
In this case, you are paying 22% extra on the $294 yearly fee of the 365 day plan for the benefit of monthly payments.

        • You forgot about opportunity costs of not paying the lump sum up front. Also, not being tied down for one whole year and being able to move to other companies, or even for those people who only need it for a month or two.

Not so straightforward as "22% p.a. isn't worth it"

@Redcafej: If you could suggest an investment that gives a guaranteed 22% return than sure.

  • Does anyone know if Kogan does esim in NZ? My 365 day plan expired and I moved to Kiwi Mobile (1st 3 months free) but this seems like an attractive offer to move back to Kogan…

    • No they don’t.

  • Hey guys so I’m looking for a new telco provider and I saw this ad which caught my attention I’m just slightly confused I’m confused about all of these kind of things so is this just for one month and then it goes back to a price? Or is it forever? I currently pay $20 a month and get 1.5gb data 200minutes and unlimited texts but I’m always renewing my plan because I run out of data

It is a monthly plan so you are not bound by any long term contracts and can change whenever you like.
If you have an auto renew set and sign up on this plan then the price will stay at $30 per month for up to two years.

  • It seems too good to be true? lol like anything these days.. is there a catch?

    • +1

As long as you have auto renew on.

Considering Nz mobile market competition is heating up, We'll start seeming more companies bringing out better stuff hopefully
