If you wait 5 minutes I'm sure either cash rewards or shopback will be along to pay you to buy nord via 100% or more cashback.

    • Yes but this is a deal that people may want too

  • Just FYI, bought it when it was 110% cashback by shopback on 18/9

    Basic: 2-year subscription
    $83.43 USD /2 years
    Cashback tracked 143.95 NZD

Probably if you can wait then wait

The question is, why would you need to use a VPN for 20 months? There are free options out there and you can buy lifetime plans for like $50 NZD from Ivacy or whatever. I got 2 lifetime plans with 2 different providers for a total of around $80 and this was at least 8 years ago. I can still use them to this day. And I don't even use VPNs much

    • Nord is the best I have them !

That's like saying Spark is a better ISP than 2Degrees or whatever. They're all the same and unless you have a very niche and specific use case, they all pretty much perform the same. But hey, it's your money and life choices.

        • Good privacy laws and very secure

@tdbnz: Privacy from what exactly? If the FBI wanted to, they can get your data from the VPN providers.

If you actually know anything about cybersecurity, you would know that what you just said is very arrogant and naive and any cyber security expert would laugh at that.

If you think you can operate on the dark web with a VPN, then go ahead.

In fact, they had a breach a few years ago. There's no such thing as "safe".

            • @NovaAlpha: Hola vpn which is free uses your own connection for other clients iirc. Then you have the question of how they are offering a vpn or free…gotta make $ somehow. Also country availabaility is good with nordvpn, i doubt a free one has as many locations and servers

@jackvdbuk: Never said Hola is good.

Windscribe is already good enough for most users. I get 50GB of quota to use and have 4 accounts. On top of that, you have Softether VPN which is more of a peer to peer network, as well as Psiphon.

And like I said, you can buy lifetime VPNs that are decent and comparable to Nord and they cost less.

The point is, none of them are secure. YOU think it's secure based on your lack of knowledge, but when facts are presented about their data breach, you have nothing else to say. Too many people these days pretend to know about stuff without actually doing proper research.
