There are better codes already available on the Cheapies pizza page https://www.cheapies.nz/pages/pizza-coupons that you might want to try first before using the ones listed above.

Don't know if prices vary around the country, but for Dunedin the prices using the following codes work out at -

    Pickup
    41108 - $9 Traditional pizzas (40% off code)

    Delivery
41108 - $9.60 Traditional pizzas (40% off code, delivery fee added to cost of first pizza (works out $13.20 for first Traditional pizza then $9.60 for each additional Traditional pizza after that)
    04683 - $8 2 sides
    74079 - $11 3 sides

I understand your concern I just sharing for everyone to enjoy

Dude, retaliatorily downvoting my comment because you're mad that I pointed out better deals than your one is not a good look mate.

And I downvoted your deal so people would scroll down and read my comment to see why I downvoted it and in the process save themselves some money, because we're not here to stroke our egos, we're here to help people save money aren't we?

        • -1

Hey mate, I was just sharing a deal that I thought might be helpful. I didn’t downvote your comment out of spite or to retaliate. Everyone’s here for the same goal—to save some money—so I shared what I thought was a good option. I appreciate your input on better deals as well, so let’s keep it about sharing useful info and helping people get the best value.

          • @tdbnz: Look I don't want to drag this on, but you say you didn't downvote it out of spite or to retaliate, ok say I believe you, what possible reason did you have for downvoting it then? All my comment says is that there are better codes available on the Cheapies pizza page and then lists the same deals you had only cheaper, what did I do wrong in that comment to make you downvote it? Tell me so I don't make the same mistake again in the future.

@Flippant: @Flippant hell I'll tell you, I'm downvoting your two replies because you are out of line.. this isn't a competitive website, its a community forum as @tdbnz says. Don't freak out over nothing.
Your initial comment was helpful, so good job for that 👍

              • +2

@PennyPincher: It’s a bit of both to be fair. You win prizes if your deal is top 5 for the month, and it’s also about posting/finding the best deal and votes reflecting that. On the flip side, this is also a community space (forums + feedback).

          @Flippant

Hey, I get where you’re coming from,. To be honest, I downvoted because I was frustrated. I put effort into sharing a deal that I thought would be helpful, and when I felt like I was getting told off, it got to me.

I never said it was the best deal—just something I found and wanted to share for the whole community to enjoy. My intention was always to help, and I love contributing to the community. I appreciate you pointing out better options though, and I’m sure we’re both here for the same reason: to help people save. Let’s keep that in mind and keep things positive! Thanks again for your input.

          • @tdbnz: Here are the voting guidelines FYI
            https://www.cheapies.nz/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

Downvoting because The deal is not the cheapest available is a valid option, but I understand why it could also cause some strife.

@Wakrak: I see my comment downvotes are against voting guidelines as:
Inappropriate uses of negative vote - Disliking their comments or description.
I'll refrain from doing so in the future and if a mod would like to remove my downvotes please go ahead.

              • +2

@PennyPincher: I think you’re all good. Having a difference of opinion (and votes reflecting that) is fine. You were constructive.

              • +2

@PennyPincher: I think you've misinterpreted that. My understanding is that those guidelines are for voting on deals, and that one specifically means you shouldn't downvote a deal because of the OP's comments.

There are guidelines for commenting but not for voting on comments AFAIK. If someone breaches those guidelines, you can report their comment.

I don't think anyone's votes are out of line but I think Flippant's second/third comment are antisocial and derailed the comments. Off-topic discussion such as this is not supposed to happen, and the comment leading off topic should probably be removed.

I wonder if one could call the above as "The Domino effect"
