I like to listen to music but have zero idea if it will work if I just connect this speaker to my laptop? I heard some headphones need a powerful terminal to drive, is the similar idea applied to this speaker?
They have an amplifier in them as they are also able to do bluetooth so just need a line input to work. Headphones are generally passive so need an amplifier which is why they suck on phones as Europe limits the power output to stop people going deaf as quickly with earbuds.

Ah good spotting, I must have mixed them up with their other one. Still powered in anycase with all the inputs you could need. Best to avoid bluetooth on these as the ones a friend had only supported SBC so sounded like crap over bluetooth so had to be wired to sound any good.
So I could connect it with my laptop as long as the cable is compatible?
