I haven’t used AliExpress in ages, and now that I’ve logged in, I see all these 'Welcome Deals' with really good prices. Do I actually qualify for these deals, or is it just a tactic to get me to place an order, only to be told I’m not a 'New Shopper' at checkout?
Also, if I were to register a few new accounts to take advantage of the welcome deals, what should I be aware of? Do I need a new email, credit card, or device? Any tips and tricks would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
I had an issue with an old account that would always show the welcome deals even though I’d placed orders with it years ago. Every time I tried a new order it would end up getting cancelled and refunded.
Eventually I had to create a new account and place an order on it for it to stop showing me the welcome/new account deals every single time.
If you make a new account and use a payment method you've used before on the website, you'll get banned (and you might get the order, or it might get cancelled). I too was interested in this but when I looked it up I saw plenty of people mentioning they had been banned. I wouldn't risk it for smaller items, maybe for big things where you'd end up saving hundreds and they're coming from reputable sellers.
This is something they seem to take very seriously, so you'd also want to use a different name for the order as well. Any match between name/address/payment is likely to get flagged by the sounds of it.
I noticed this too - ordered a Lencent travel adaptor, $36 on my normal account, $22 with a new account. I just used a new email and mobile, same credit card, order went through no problem. I'm sure they'll catch on though eventually.
