Fitbit Charge HR Large All Colours - $142.40 @ JB Hi-Fi

70

Fitbit Charge HR (Black/Large)
Fitbit Charge HR (Plum/Large)
Fitbit Charge HR (Teal/Large)

Earlier today there were small ones available for the same price. They seem to have disappeared off the website though. I would say they are still available in store.

Dick Smith have had them for $138. There was/is barely any stock though.

  • I think Dick Smith have them cheaper ($138), but only two colors: http://www.dicksmith.co.nz/fitbit-charge-hr

OP mentioned in another thread that there is very little stock around. Better deal, only if you can find one.

Yeah, mentioned it here too : ) I think the Black ones are completely out of stock at DSE. Looks like you can still get the Plum ones. So if you're after plum, DSE is the better deal.

  • I'm getting rid of mine after 2 weeks. The step counting is not very accurate, the device counts lots of steps while I'm sitting down. All the other features are good, but I can't handle being told I've moved a few km when I've been sitting for several hours. Luckily I got it cheap, so I should get my money back.

Had this model for a while. And an earlier model for two years. Never had those sorts of issues. So suggest that it may be a faulty unit. Fitbit are pretty good when it comes to replacements under warrenty.

Only issue with both devices is that on a very windy day (or in a turbulent wind vortex area eg standing by a wall) it sometimes misreads the sudden air pressure differences as altitude change related to walking upstairs.

Re sleep, there are two sensitivity settings. And also indication for whether you wear it on dominant hand or not. You can also change your pace distance via the app, to make the distance walked more accurate.

Do think the price of these sort of gadgets will fall dramatically in coming 12 months. Apart from that though, think these are an excellent purchase.
