Can anyone recommend a resonable deal on a half decent cast iron fry pan for me?
Cast iron fry pan

I love my Lodge it's a 2 piece set that can be used as a pan and a pot that then go together like a small Dutch oven, it will last a lifetime, so they are worth it. Briscoes brands Hampton and Mason etc are a waste of money
Your local trash'n'treasure market often has these …..great value and pre conditioned !
I bought this one from the Warehouse earlier in the year, was only $50 - I was a bit sceptical considering a lot are hundreds of dollars. But it has been the best pan we've ever had. I'm pretty sure it came pre seasoned, but I did it again before using, I also dry out on the stove top if I've washed it and oil for a half hour after, which I think you are best to do with any cast iron pan. Cooks great and never had any issues with food sticking to it.

If I was going to buy new I would get one from ironclad.
If you don't mind waiting a couple of times per year they have a sale of "seconds" with minor blemishes etc.
These are NZ made high quality pans, so not really a usual cheapie level deal.I got a sturdy cast iron fry pan, 26cm from Wah Lee at the top end of Hobson Street. Was recommended by a friend who knew the family and absolutely satisfied with it. Excellent running in instructions on the web page.
This is my one: https://www.wahlee.co.nz/store/p951/Cast_Iron_26_cm_metal_ha…
It's a fascinating shop, you could end up with more things you never realised you needed..!
Any particular size?
I've seen Lodge recommended a few times
