New World rewards - switching to earning New World dollars

Now that Fly Buys is ending and you can now New World Dollars, I'd encourage Airpoints earners at New World to consider switching to New World dollars. There is a standard 0.75% earn rate, so you don't need to spend at a $25 increment to earn additional rewards points. Airpoints dollars are earned per $25 spent, whereas New World dollars are earned at a rate of 0.75% per $ spent.

For example, If you spend $40, you would earn 0.185 airpoints dollars, but would earn 0.3 New World dollars.

Not a major, but every bit helps. As always cheapies, don't let rewards points influence your spending decisions but treat these a bonus.

Isn’t this what they’re doing though? I checked mine today and it has switched over.
“ On 1 November 2024 we automatically changed you over to earning New World Dollars. You'll earn New World Dollars when you scan your card or app barcode instore, or have it linked to your online shopping account.”

Probably still best to check and confirm.

Yeah, that's the email I got and I double checked my card and it has already earned a couple of cents.
Mind you never did anything with airpoints tbh.

I think you automatically changed over if you were previously earning fly buys, but not if airpoints earner. The earn rate for new world dollars is subtly better now with the 0.75% earn rate
