Anyone that has purchased from them in the past have any recommendations on a good training and walking shoe?

    • The cheaper end of the adidas trainers are usually crap in my experience. The one time I spent a few hundred on a good pair of Adidas trainers they were great. But if youre looking in the sub$150 range then New Balance is a better shoe.

Disagree, had a low end Cloud foam as a knockabout shoe once and it was one of the most comfy shoes I've had

    • Adidas Adios Pro 3!!

Just joking, any of the Ultraboost shoes will be great for walking.

I picked up some ultraboost 22’s when they first came out for casual running/walking and they led to some pretty serious knee issues that took months of physio to fix up.

Not saying that is everyones experience but just a tale of caution!

        • Bro can you give me more details about this ? I was using ultraboosts for running about 2 years ago and i got knee issues so I thought it was the treadmill or something and I stopped for a while and last year I got some nike pegasus and I haven't had any problems since

@ry2528: Physio said it is due to the way the shoes support the arches of my feet, which then leads to my knee’s drifting inwards ever so slightly when I use them - this bunches up and agitates the tendons in the knee so defs isn’t great.

I’ve switched to some “stability” shoes after doing one of those tests at shoe clinic and they’ve worked a charm so far!

        • I tried some adidas ultraboosts at first but it just wasn’t for me. Didn’t feel right. Wide foot. Saucony’s have been a great replacement.

        • Wow I had issues with ultra boosts, more feet related till I switched to ASICS after going to Athletes foot shop and getting scanned.

          Now I only buy gt2000s

I just ran the Auckland Marathon in Adizero Adios Pro 3's and it's no joke they are comfortable af!

But my recommendation would be the Ultraboost 5 (not applicable to this sale though), nek level comfort and stability.

I've just picked up the Galaxy 5 for $39 to burn around the office in .. they look comfy and have pretty good reviews so for that price what can go wrong??

        • Have you tried any other carbons?

Go for ones with a cloudfoam midsole and rubber or adiwear soles. I've bought a couple comfy pairs during these sales for about $40ea. My first pair have lasted about 18 months doing 8km every two days. I would avoid the synthetic soles they don't last. It's easy to return them, I sent a pair back without cloud foam as they were just too firm for me. Sign up and it's free shipping too.

      • Bugger, wish I had read the comments before I purchased. I got the Duramo SL shows and they have synthetic soles… I normally walk about 10km every day haha. Are returns free?

  • Adidas at Dressmart , Auckland also has 40% off discounted prices. Some great deals to be had.
