Reviews on Torpedo 7 14ft Trampoline

Looking at tramps for kids Xmas have 3 boys so 14 ft seems like a good size to get, torpedo 7 max air 14ft with black Friday deal $665 seems really good at the moment, has anyone got any reviews on this tramp please?

  • We had the T7 Big Bounce, not sure how quality compares to Max Air, but it lasted 5 or 6 years before i had to replace the mat recently.
The cushion did degrade where the kids climbed in after 3 years and finally disintegrated after 5 years.

All up i was really happy with it, esp being outdoors all the time.

    • We have the T7 14ft Max Air
I have been happy with the quality, we have had it since november 2018, and have had 3 kids use it relentlessly + friends

The sun slowly destroys all things, so the last 6 months we have removed the spring covers as the vinyl covers perished and were blowing the interior foam everywhere.
They had been abused by kids running relentlessly around the outside of the net.
As DJ said where the kids entered/exited degraded faster than the rest, but only by about 6months.
We also had to call it quits on the net within the last 6months too, but the kids relentlessly used it as a springboard, and even cut holes with scissors…… but it held up very well.
so we have gotten 6 years use out of it so far for $400, so no complaints.
The springs, mat, and frame are still in great shape.
would buy again if I had to

  • My tale virtually identical to DJ. Bigbounce 14ft. 5 years old. Replaced mat last week ($199) after the D clips that hold the springs started rusting out. I replaced a few individual D rings, then decided bugger that, I'll get a complete new mat. Zip on safety net broke after about a year. Edge protection pads are breaking down, but not that important as they don't really come into play with the safety net. The ladder also rusted out after about 4 years. Generally happy with it. The new mat should stretch it out another 2 or 3 years.

If you are intending to extend the life of a tramp, make sure parts are available. Otherwise it's pretty much a throw-away item after 4-6 years.

My only other comment is to go as big as you can. If you can fit a 14, don't get a 12 to try save a few $. Bigger is definitely better.

  • Thanks! Definitely will be going 14ft, and looks like it does have spare parts available through torpedo 7 just a bit torn between getting that at a good deal or a space jump for $1000 that's well known and comes with extra slide etc…

  • Looking at getting a tramp for the kids xmas in this price range. Any opinions on how they compare to jumpflex?

Jumpflex flex tramp 12ft is $699. Our neighbour has one and it seems all good. A 14ft for slightly cheaper seems better if quality is comparable.

    • From what I've seen it's got good reviews I asked someone that is selling one on Facebook what they thought and they said it was very good they've had it for 3 years and in the photos it still looks like it's in pretty good condition.

  • Have been through 2 x Big Bounce 10ft trams. D clips go first, you can get good replacements but each system tends to fail after than - padding, springs etc. Realistically 5 or so years but it got so much use and would definitely recommend (and for trampolines in general)

For thrid tramp we got a second hand spring free. Definitely would not recommend!
