Electricity prices increasing from April 2025

Just saw this article online.

It sounds like some electricity price increases are on the way from April 2025.
In April, electricity prices are estimated to increase by an average of $10 per month ($120 annually).
Then for each year after (2026-2030), it is likely to increase on average by $5 per month ($60 annually) with some regional ranges of $5-$15 per month.

So if the calculations are correct we're estimated to be paying on average an extra $30 per month on electricity in 2030…

    Also need to add on that low power users are also having their daily rate increased substantially over the next 5 years.

    So much for competition leading to lower prices from deregulation. Also so much for increasing the population sensationally to spread the costs across a large pool of people. I feel we have all been taken for a ride.

      Watch the reports of profits of the power companies in the same time frame rise as well

      They'll tack on more rising costs each year, just like they did when during the recent "inflation" period
