It sounds like some electricity price increases are on the way from April 2025.
In April, electricity prices are estimated to increase by an average of $10 per month ($120 annually).
Then for each year after (2026-2030), it is likely to increase on average by $5 per month ($60 annually) with some regional ranges of $5-$15 per month.
So if the calculations are correct we're estimated to be paying on average an extra $30 per month on electricity in 2030…
Also need to add on that low power users are also having their daily rate increased substantially over the next 5 years.
So much for competition leading to lower prices from deregulation. Also so much for increasing the population sensationally to spread the costs across a large pool of people. I feel we have all been taken for a ride.
