Donations of $10 NZD or more in specific denominations may receive Allpress product discount codes. Discount codes are valid once and do not cover shipping.
~$5 shipping or free pickup in store if ones local to you I guess
The $50 donation for 1kg of beans + 12 cans of coffee looks pretty good to me! Plus it goes to a great cause.
Incredible find. Thanks!
Make sure to claim a donation tax credit with IRD too 😊
If you would like a receipt for your donation, please email us, and a member of the Cure Parkinson’s NZ team will assist you.
Sorry, I might be wrong here but if you receive some sort of incentive for your donation doesn't it invalidate your claim for tax credit. I believe it's not legal.
Edit: I could be totally mixing this with something else.
Youre not mixing it up - that's correct.
A donation needs to be done with no direct benefit to you in order to claim back the 33.33% tax credit from IRD.
Receiving coffee in exchange for your donation would invalidate the claim. Will be interest to see what the receipt states. If there is no mention of the code for the coffee, IRD would have no way to determine this
@Brit22: That’s right. It comes down to the receipt wording. If it doesn’t state anything about the coffee and says that it is just a donation then there is nothing to stop you lodging a claim even though it doesn’t technically qualify.
@bigcheese: I guess so…
It's similar to how there is nothing stopping you claiming expenses that don't exist, or hiding your personal income from IRD.
Except at end of the day it's all fraud.@fake: Claiming expenses that don't exist, or hiding your personal income from IRD is tax evasion not fraud. Fraud would be providing falsified documents.
I don’t see any issues with providing a legitimate donation receipt, which IRD will then review. If they approve it, then that’s on them?
I could be fully unaware of the rules around donations with direct benefit (as I was before commenting on this post) and submit the receipt under full assumption that I had that right. Again, if they approve that receipt, is it still my wrong doing?
Good deal thanks OP.
If buying a bag and a coffee at the same time it's a little cheaper directly in store ($15 here vs $14 in store as a bag comes with a free cup of coffee) but glad to be able to donate at the same time.
Does anyone want my free coffee coupon?
yes please, hopefully i can claim 2 at once
Great cause, thanks OP!
