good price, i bought it when all time low back in May, scanned a few thousands photos (more to go), its bloody quick, the longest time you spend is removing old photos from the albums and making sure there is no dust on them as that gets the optics dirty (so you may have to clean it every few hundred scans). The smart photo fix feature is pretty good, i actually got to see the details in photos that were taken years ago that finally revealed themselves.

Thanks, didn't know this existed. We have a few hundred photos from 30-40 years ago that I want to scan.

      How's the resolution?

its pretty good, i scanned at 600dpi, but it can do 1200dpi interpolated, the scan speed triples when you set it to 1200, so i went with 600 which was good enough for me, but it you wanted to make the image as sharp as possible then 1200dpi would be the max. I think the best feature for old photos is the enhancement that can restore old photos and make them look better imo than the original.

    • You don't still have it perchance? Would be interested in renting it as I'm not sure I can justify the cost for a few hundred photos

      • i still have it, i need to muster the energy to scan another few thousand photos, im probably just going to sell on trademe with the aim of making most of money back.

        • Have PM'd you

  • Been wanting this for ages. Thank you!

  • A lot easier doing it this way. I scanned over 1000 photos using a flatbed scanner and it took ages

  • Coming up as AU$615 = NZ$677 for me, has the price gone up?
