Its a welcome upgrade from a 42" panasonic plasma that was bought in 2009 😂

This is the right way to cheapies, not upgrade every year :)

        • Well - given that it is a plasma arguably still a good tv? The thing for me is that given how remote I am my internet barely allows for 1080p streaming, and most of my content is SDR (mostly DVD and BluRays) - so I am ok with an older (but good) 1080p tv.
(I want a new TV - but given my source content options I don't need it unfortunately…)

@Semifinal: are you out in the wops? maybe look at getting starlink or cell tower wifi if fibre isnt available, 1080p to 4k certainly is a big jump for content consumption

@Nzfade: Yep - have looked into that - at the time I could not justify it. I am still working my way through a lot of SDR content. I figure when I run out of it I will be able to pick up some dirt cheap 4K tv and content because everyone will be on 8K by then! =)

could be a little hard to beat in terms of quality for the price. Full array probably means massive zones at this price, but 100hz (i think base?) 65 with arguably the best software… yeahp

If anyone wants an additional $100 off voucher, first person to PM me gets it. I don't know if it's transferable but you are welcome to try it. Also, if you have an Amex card check the offers, I have a $50 cashback in mine.

  • Thanks. Was this deal for Cyber Monday only?
