Can your get the free primate trial, buy a 365 plan and then not continue the primate after the trial?

It's this on OneNz, 2degrees or Spark network?

I see they finally have eSIM support. Makes it competitive versus Rocket mobile if you’re looking for an unlimited plan. Does anyone know if you can have more than one plan per primate account?

just got an email from them saying they've launched with esim. thinking of giving it a try - has anyone tried it yet? is it easy to activate?

I’ve been with Mighty Mobile for the last 3 months with physical sim and it was relatively painless. Small hassle getting number ported over, but their chat support were helpful and quick in resolving the issue.

eSIM was actually quite easy. My experience included having to move my number from physical SIM to eSIM - “purchased” ($0.00) eSIM in the app, added to my phone and then received a text to setup my new SIM with my usual number. Went through the steps, then after a few minutes the old physical SIM had lost its number association. Then had to reboot a couple times, and ended up deleting eSIM and re-adding and my usual number had been swapped over!

All done within about 10-20 mins, and now have a shiny new eSIM.

Overall with Mighty Mobile, highly recommended. Have had no issues since moving and getting set up, data always works with great speeds and texts and calls no issues.

      Hope this helps!

      • thanks for this, sounds like the process was kinda easy other than the slight issue. but 20 mins and you're connected is good. i'll do some more resarch tonight and make a decision - thanks

  • Since owned by Kogan and on One/Vodafone network, I assume similar overall experience. I’ve used Kogan as my only phone for a few years, and my partner uses it for data. I normally wait for bogof/discounted deals and pay for 16GB/mo plan at 30-50% off sticker price $330/yr. No noticeable issues

  • I wonder what are the chances Kogan will now be able to provide eSim option? Wonder if they are choosing to not provide considering Mighty is doing it..

  • Been on the basic unlimited plan when it was 50% off for 12 months.

No complaints for basic moblie data and speeds, no issues other than some rural dead zones. If rural that may cause issues as spark tends to have good coverage in some of those more rural areas.
