PBTech also has the 2 pack version for $779.00
    (https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/CCTEFY1431/Eufy-Security-eu…)

and Mitre10 also sells this version (https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/eufy-security-cam-3-and-homeb… ) so could potentially pricematch if wanting just 2 cameras or buy 2 and have an extra HB3 for cheap as a spare or to use somewhere else.

Perhaps try your luck with a price-match using DroneTech $879

  • Ill price match here thanks https://www.supersell.co.nz/products/eufy-security-s330-eufy…

They have Click and Collect or Shipping and since its a physical store… shouldnt have an issue

  • I read some unfavorable reviews regarding
    1. Solar panels falling apart in harsh environments (strong sun/heat) at 9 months.
    2. Batteries failing in harsh environments (strong sun/heat) at 9 months.

  • These wireless cameras seem to compromise the sensor's sensitivity to conserve power (ie. it's harder to trigger them and harder to keep them recording). Battery life seems to be a lot shorter than what they promise too (without using solar). Has anyone found a really good outdoor wireless camera yet?

  • I have been keeping an eye on these for about 6 months (4cam version)
Although normal price shows as $2000, i have always seen these at around the $1550 price mark at one store or the other.
~$1500 is the normal price for this item. They mention $2000 as RRP just so it looks like a deal at $1500.

  • I have the old Arlo Pro 2 cameras which I have hardwired, but recently its so buggy and frustrating so I am considering an upgrade soon - how do these compare to the arlo solution?

    • +1

I believe so yes. Especially if you get enough sunlight (~6hr/day) they would remain charged in most cases (~20 or so detection/day). Features & app is great and no subscription. Camera resolution is definitely better than Arlo pro 2

  • I have non-solar older version (home base 2).
I don't have to charge them more than 3 times a year even the cameras in high activity zones.
Charging a camera takes about an half day.
All depends on how much activity you get.
The app is great is great too.

  • I have been using the 2k solar eufy Camara since June 2022 and it has been faultless. Located right in the elements, it gets blasted by sun and rain etc. very impressed.

  • Highly recommend the EUFY suite - Did alot of research of a home security setup and landed on Eufy, primarily because you don't need a subscription and their ecosystem of products appears to integrate quite easily.

Started off with 3x Eufycam 2 Pro cameras and added a 2K solar, 2x indoor 2k cameras and a motion detector, all working great from the one app.

Cameras are almost 2 years old and haven't noticed any degradation of battery or any issues with camera sensor etc.

EUFY also has an official store on aliexpress where they normally run promotions and its often 1/2 the price of what you'd pay in NZ :)

    • I have also bought most of my Eufy's from Aliexpress but since last few months they don't ship to NZ anymore.

  • Apparently the distance to trigger recording is quite short
