Rebel Sport - Price Promise/ Price Guarantee Policy

I have been purchasing a few things from Rebel Sport recently—shoes for my son and some gym gear for myself. I typically only shop when there's a sale or a special offer, like their MVP deals.

The other day, while I was in line to pick up an order, I overheard a customer service representative talking about their price promise. Apparently, you can get back the difference if an item goes on sale within 30 days after your purchase. At the time, I didn't think much of it.

When I got home and checked the status of another order online, I saw that clearance items had an additional 20% off. Since I am cheap and know a good price lol I placed another order.

When my new order was ready for collection, I decided to ask about the items I had purchased the previous week. Although they were on sale when I bought them, they now had an extra 20% off.

Long story short, I ended up getting about $9 back. Not bad at all—and who knew they offered this price promise! The website doesnt explain it very well but I moving foward I will track the price on what I paid.

Looks like Briscoes also does this, but with slightly different rules; within 14 days and gives store credit on some items rather than a refund.

Great find AhhNo - I had no idea about either of those.

I was at Briscoes and the staff member actually promoted this policy to me, telling me to hold onto my receipt for a month.

If you Biscoes did try to offer store credit (or say it's a 14 day policy), you could instead buy the cheaper option on the spot and return it with your original receipt which has a 30 day policy.

  • Good find, didnt know about this

  • LV Martins used to have this policy too so the briscoes group probably copied it off them.

  • thank you for the post - I also spotted the 20% off clearance last week and saw the Hoka shoes I bought dec 27th go down by $40 and tried to see if this price policy existed or was just a hallucination. But no sign of it online!

We are just within 30 days still, so it sounds like I can go in tomorrow with my online receipt and get $40 back from them!

    • Let us know if you manage to get it back, assuming you will anyway. Annoying it’s not an automated request online and having to go in store, but $40 bucks is $40 bucks! Good luck

      • success! The staff member was chill about it, did suggest it is normally accepted within 14 days but he wasn't going to worry about it. (is that true?). Scanned the e-receipt barcode and after a bit of fiddling came back with a refund for the items on the receipt that were currently cheaper

          Cool :-)

In what form did they refund you?

          • @Alan6984: I swiped the credit card i used in the first place. I didnt check if that was the only option though, he didnt prompt me.

@Surreal: Makes sense that any refund would be via the original payment method.

Just wondered if it would be 'store credit' which I would still be okay with, but obviously nowhere near as good as an actual refund.

Good to know. This might be something else handy for others to know too - went in store today to purchase a backpack (been waiting for a sale & was 20% off) but the one I was after wasn't in stock. The staff member directed me to a terminal at the end of the counter area where I could place an online order, and there was a code displayed (store specific I think) which gave me free shipping. Glad I asked, otherwise I'd likely gone home and ordered online and paid for delivery!

Another tip I had from staff - if your size is out of stock, just buy the wrong size to secure it, then swap sizes when it's back in.

    • They have the same at Briscoes but the free shipping code seems to be somehow tied to the IP/computer as I couldn't use it at home with my same account.
