Samsung Galaxy Watch7 (LTE) 44mm - Silver $454 + Shipping ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ PB Tech

60

Appears to be ATL for 44mm LTE version according to PriceSpy:
https://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=13731872#statistics

At the time of posting maybe some price errors on the website as the 44mm LTE version listed is cheaper as a listing for the 44mm Bluetooth only (non LTE) version at $549. What is weird is that they also have separate listing for 44mm Bluetooth at $368:
https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/WTHSAM0310001/Samsung-Galax…

The 44mm bluetooth version also appears be ATL:

The 44mm bluetooth only version for $368 is the model I would get - but also LTE option for those interested.

UPDATE: Looks like other retailers (JB Hifi, Heathcotes have matched / slightly beating depending on config):

The smaller version are also on special.

  • anticipating new version tomorrow?

    • I think the watches come later in the year? (June July maybe?)

Just noting that the LTE is a nightmare to connect with NZ providers on cheaper plans. If anyone can recommend a plan that allows LTE for cheap, let me know.

    • I am using one number with Spark on GWU. Works great.

    • Yes - I agree. And to be honest I don't think WearOS is 'there' yet in terms of being a functional device independent of the phone. I mainly use mine for notifications / control of media when I am on the bike. Every time I have tried to use the watch as a 'device' I have been very underwhelmed or frustrated.

I find the way the Galaxy watches are sold is really annoying.

Sometimes certain colours only will be on special.
Stores currently sell and display several generations of displays.
    Pricing all over the show.
    Galaxy Watch vs Classic

And my real pet peeve - the 44mm is NEVER on display anywhere - only the 40mm. Why?!?!?!

Worth mentioning (especially for those with Google Pixel phones but any Android really) you can get a brand new Pixel Watch 2 LTE for $310NZD delivered (GST included) from eBay.
    Just got one from US.
41mm so admittedly smaller than 44mm here but I have a smaller wrist so suits me perfectly.
Yet to set up the eSIM but from what I've heard it is possible.

    • That's pretty cheap - any particular seller on Ebay?

    • Yep - that is good. The only thing that puts me off the Pixel watches is the low end processor. But that may change in the next release?

Pixel watches moved off the old Exynos chip after the first generation. They now use a Qualcomm SW5100 - while not quite the W5+ as in other watches, I haven't seen any reviews critiquing the performance of this processor.

There's rumours that the Pixel Watch 5 (?) will move to a custom Tensor chip - not too sure whether this is a good thing though 🙃

Yes - agree. I should have been a bit clearer on my concerns above - it was not so much the low end processors as to the last gen / less efficient chips used when better chipsets were available (first gen pixel watch due to the very long development process).
There are two things I am concerned with WearOS watches from a chipset point of view:
          1) Speed - often the watches are not that responsive / sluggish - I often find it quicker to use my phone.
          2) Efficiency - even with screen turned off by default the watches sometime struggle to make it through the day.

Still a lot better than when these watches were released - and admittedly I am on a GW5 - so maybe GW7 is far improved?
