I mean we still treat a regular deal on a specific day as a deal, e.g. when Domino's do half price or BOGO Tuesdays and like Texas Chicken did in the past with their wing day, chicken day, free side day etc. Only difference is we only have it as one post. Complicating factor here is the precise deal varies week to week and is only known the day before (at least they stopped the only announced on the day thing).

Literally the moment I saw this on Cheapies an alert popped up on my phone from Gaspy saying the local Gull increased their price by 5c, making them more expensive then the BP across the road. This happens almost every week. Interested to see what the Commerce Commission would say about this behavior.
Rotorua PaknSave, Waitomo, NPD and New World have all increased their prices by 8c in the last week since the last discount day.
