Attaching a review from scarbir here, one of the best wireless earphone reviewers.

"This level of comfort, great battery life and its impressive sound make the Redmi Buds 6 Play an excellent offering among ultra-cheap wireless earbuds." Verdict: FIVE STARS

Thank you ordered a black one for c&c!

  • how does this compare to the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 Active? im at crossroads since I like the open-ear type instead of the in-ear ones like this.

I picked up mine today from PB Tech Hornby, and when I got home, I realized the box had been opened and resealed with a sticker. The plastic sleeve for the case was also previously ripped open, and they just restuck it to make it look unopened..

    • oh no, did you return it?

I picked up the Xiaomi Buds 6 Lite for $33 a few days ago when PBTech had a one day steal on all the xiaomi buds (pricing was a few dollars cheaper than the current sale price). Saw a few reviews comparing the buds 6 play vs active vs lite and the buds 6 lite came out on top for sound quality plus they also have ANC. I haven't traveled on any planes in the last few days so haven't tried out the ANC. I have several pairs of Samsung buds, Panasonic buds, Sony, Bose, Redmi, and Xfyro buds and the Xiaomi buds are very good value, They are the cheapest set I own but sound quality is up there with buds costing 10x the price. Also was super impressed with how fast they pair.

    • How's the ANC compared to the others?

    • Would appreciate the next time you do fly and test these out how they work out with the ANC.

I got these buds 6 yesterday very happy with them, first time earbuds user and impressed. I want to upgrade to noise cancelling now, for a flight in June.

Also if you know, how easy is it to connect earbuds to the inflight entertainment via bluetooth?

Just purchased the pink one from the headstore. Checked my receipt and its being sold for $19.13

    • How did you get it for $19.13?

      • Im not sure tbh just did a guick calculation and looks like 19.13 is non gst price??? I bought some other stuff as well so im confused as well haha…

        • +1

Correct. On PB's website(pbtech.co.nz) next to the price there is a little dropdown arrow where you can switch between "inc GST" and "+GST". If you switch to "+GST" the price changes to $19.13
