Recommendations on Power Supplier in Christchurch

We are relocating to Christchurch in two weeks time and looking at power suppliers (no gas, only electricity). Appreciate if you could recommend any good one. Currently with Genesis and this is the rate I've got given
Daily charges 90c
Anytime 24c (all gst excl)
100 free hours, 3% fixed term discount

    I recommend looking at Meridian's 4-hour free plan.
    This was the cheapest option I could find in Christchurch, considering I'm able to make good use of the free hours.

      Thanks for your recommendation. Not a bad rate, and the free hours are quite a big range, not restricted to 9-12 like contact energy

    Best option is to get quotes from as many providers as you can - at least three, but the more the better.

    There is never one provider that is the best across a large area (such as 'Christchurch') as pricing can vary literally between two sides of the same street. You might hit on a good one based on a recommendation (I'd certainly include in the quotes you get), but better to be reasonably sure.
