      Iniitally yes but not for a long time.
      It was $9.99, then $10.99 and has been $11.99 for at least the past couple of years.

        Not too bad tbh. I just wish they could make it crispier, like what you'd expect from a chicken that's deep fried

          I remember watching some video ages ago that mentioned they use some special pressure cooker fryer. So the chicken isn't as crispy as an open-air fryer.

            The coating also makes the chicken much more juicy.

            @Zyo: Hot and spicy has a 40 cent surcharge per piece, which isn't bad tbf. Overall, the quality is nowhere near like the ones I've tried in Asia tho.

    It's a good deal. If you are hungry AF and short on Cash this solves problems.

    But I don't understand how NZ kfc gets it so wrong. It's so disgusting.

    Like there's a level of consistency between Mcdonalds everywhere.

    You take a NZ KFC and put it side by side with 1 from another country no one is going to believe the one from NZ is KFC

      Couldn't agree more! Have tried KFC in many countries, even the street food fried chicken is better than nz's kfc.

        To be honest I dont think I've ever had any takeaway chicken in NZ thats remotely as good as most of the streetfood fried chicken in most Asian countries. But thats probably because the internal temperatures get too high here because of food safety concerns and the flavour of the chicken is poorer.
