      Different models tho

      • yeah just noticed that but some1 may want the older model at a fraction of the price.

  • check the box for production date, some of these might have been sitting around for a couple of years.
When I picked up one from a Shaver Shop promo last year that I saw on cheapies, it wasn't until I got home that I saw production date of 2022 on the box, which explained why the battery has never lasted more than 5 days without a low battery warning.

  • Do these have lithium or nimh battery?

Bargain Chemist also have a price beat with similar terms to Chemist Warehouse (beating by 10% of the price difference). But BC price is 79.99 instead of 49.99 at CW. So you could potentially get a price beat down to $35.99 at BC vs $38.99 at CW.

    • BC wont pricematch supermarkets, only other pharmacies.

      • Their terms and conditions don't specifically exclude other retailers, just online only retailers, so it would be arguable I think.

        • I've wondered that at bargain chemist. Above the t's and c's and in the image it specifically says "New Zealand pharmacy"

          • @Stoic: Hmm, yes, but the headline text also says "We will beat any competitor's price*" with a small asterisk that only excludes online only retailers. What defines a competitor? There is no specific definition in the T&Cs so it is particularly ambiguous.

Pak N save surely 'competes' in selling many similar items like toothpaste, hair products, sun screen, etc.

It's odd that they define a competitor as a pharmacy but then go on to exclude prescription medicines and pharmacist only medicines from their price promise, which are exactly the thing that distinguishes a pharmacy from a normal retailer.

I would argue that Pak N Save has enough items that compete to make it a 'competitor'. Chemist Warehouse certainly consider it a competitor and I regularly get them to beat my local PNS pricing as they are frequently more expensive.
