I love how they advertise these things with mAh instead of the actually useful Amp hours.

Which is 15Ah FYI. Not horrible for a portable power bank that's going to charge a few USB devices (slowly). Terrible it you are travelling and "never want to run out of power."

  • Thats a good deal i believe.

Not really in my opinion. I have an Ozito power bank jump starter from Bunnings that I bought for around $90. It's been like 3 years now and that battery bank still holds up and still does the job. I've jump started many cars for my mates and it does the trick every time. Granted, Ozito is kinda a MEH brand, but jump starting a car is pretty simple/basic and you don't really need a super fancy brand to do that. And how often does one need to jump start their car anyway?

As for the air compressor, I've got a Xiaomi one that does the job for like $40. I use it regularly to inflate my escooter's tires too. All in all, only $130 total for the both of them. They don't take up space, they're both small and portable and can easily sit somewhere in my car's trunk. I don't see the need to justify spending $230 at all.

I have a generic one that I bought on trademe several years ago for $69 which is still working great and starts a 3.5L car with ease. It has an aircompressor. adaptors for lcharging devices and came in a plastic clip close case which makes it all easy to carry. I've seen similar recently which admittedly are more expensive than I paid but the many of the ones I've seen have been significantly less than this 'deal' - in fact less by more than the discount which the poster says makes this a 'deal'.

$167 at Noel Leeming using CSCBG Main Account

    https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/p/mophie-universal-battery-pow…

    • Says $239.99 for me. The compact version is $159.99, but had less features

  • We have one of these and I love it tbh. Takes about 25% to jump the car when needed, and the battery holds charge very well.
Got it on account at Spark and paying it off interest free payments.
