[Wellington] Havana X Blend Coffee 200g $3.99, Havana Five Star Coffee 200g $3.99 @ PAK'n SAVE Kilbirnie

90

Not a Havana Coffee fan myself, but at $2/100 grams for the beans, it’s cheaper than anything else on the shelf, and possibly in the city, for bean prices. Bought 5 to check if it works, and it does. Seems like other PaknSaves are having similar deals, but not sure if it’s as deep as this!

  • $5.99 at most Paknsaves in Auckland :(

    • 5 bucks at new highland park, but prepare to do battle there

Wondering why they are selling so cheap when coffee (green bean) prices are at an all time high. They have been 2 for $10 at reduced to clear stores recently and my own PnS (Pukekohe) was selling them for $6 a bag this week. Are Havana closing down???

    • People going back to office, huge drop in demand is my guess.

  • Pito-one PaknSave was selling their cold brew cans for $0.99 earlier this summer. No idea how any of that is sustainable!

That was a great deal. Especially for the Oat Milk Flat White. Cheaper than buying oat milk.

They still have a few of the long black cold brews but you need to find them in the bucket with $1 canned drinks (underneath the coke and sprite)

    • Crackerjack stores doing like 3 for $5 or $4

Havana are going strong. They're changing their packaging hence clearing stock in Wellington - you might notice a reduced range and mixture of old/new packaging until the transition is all done

Source: random chat with their merchandiser at PNS Kilbirnie (while loading up on beans of course)

    • Ooh, thanks for the update, we'd been theorising why while buying. Did they limit you with how many you were allowed to buy?

      • No limits when I went. Only consideration is how fast you can drink up!
Not a fan of freezing too many beans myself

  • They recently had these at 2 for $7 whilst the underlying price was $3.99.

When I got there all the beans had gone, they mostly only had filter. Would be interesting to see if they have restocked and have beans again… (can anyone confirm?)

    • Had em yesterday evening when I stocked up, not so sure about now!

      • Was just there for cat flea treatment (which they no longer stock). Only had plunger on the shelves in the offer-aisle (at entrance) and by all the coffee.

  • 5.99 PnS Porirua, what coffee beans are fellow cheapies buying mostly?

I've just recently tried the 24$/kg beans from The Warehouse as they had good reviews and the coffee is indeed good!

Agreed. I think the Warehouse beans represent good value (apparently they are the reject Havana beans anyway?)

I bought some Robert Harris beans for cheap at Pak N Save Riccarton this week as was out of beans, and they are vile. The Warehouse ones are much better.

  • $2.99 a bag for today only at Kilbirnie
